More About Lin
Dr Lin Day is the founder of the multiple award-winning national and international baby and toddler activities, Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense. She is also the founder of Baby Foundations, which provides a comprehensive approach to parenting from conception to the first 3 months of life. Lin is a senior associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine, and through continuing professional development, she aims to provide the highest quality education.
After graduating from the University of Winchester, Lin achieved a PGCE at the University of Greenwich, and a PhD in biomedical sciences at the University of Southampton. Prior to university life, she trained as a paediatric nurse, achieved a Montessori Diploma, and a National Vocational Assessor Award.
Before running her own Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense classes, Lin taught childcare and education courses in the post-16 sector. She led the first holiday scheme for disadvantaged children and ran her own successful nursery school for 15 years.
Lin is a regular feature writer in leading periodicals such as Early Years Educator, and the author of Stagecoach: The First Educational Course for the Under-fives, Say Hello to the Sun, and The ABC of Baby Signing.
Lin and Howard have been happily married for over 40 years. They are the proud parents of 4 children and grandparents to a growing family of grandchildren. Having been involved with both her own family and in teaching and supporting parents and children for over 35 years, Lin hopes to make a difference to future generations.
